Matvey Levant, managing partner of the law firm “Levant and Partners”, took part in the Opening ceremony of the 2008-2009 legal season, held at the Marriott Royal Aurora Hotel on September 12, 2008. During the ceremony, Matvey conducted an interview for the television channel “Zakon TV”, in which he commented on the situation in the Russian legal services market.

In his interview, Matvey Levant, in particular, noted that the growth dynamics of Russian law firms is close to the growth rate of large Russian businesses, and the work of Russian lawyers is inseparable from business activity as a whole. This year will be remembered for the fact that the activities of Russian corporations have acquired a pronounced global scale and corresponding specificity: concluding international contracts, acquiring the world’s largest assets, attracting external financing. Therefore, most of our law firms will have to seriously reform their business processes to meet the demands of globalization.
