Moscow, March, 16 2011. Levant and Partners Law Firm is pleased to announce the appointment of Ekaterina Vetrova as a new Partner.

Ekaterina will be in charge of the implementation and protection of copyright, real estate practice, including construction, and charities. Mrs. Vetrova will also be responsible for Levant and Partners new projects promotion and development.

Ekaterina’s practice encompasses copyright and related rights and trade mark registration. Mrs. Vetrova started her legal career in 1996 in the first private musical publisher “Bekar Records”. In the mid 90-s when new approaches to the application of copyright and related rights were developed, Ekaterina was qualified as one of the first professionals in this sphere. In “Bekar Records” she was involved in the compiling of the catalogue of the publisher-possessor of the rights, worked on the drafting of the contracts of the author’s and related rights transfer, was responsible for the cooperation with the Russian Authors Society, and registration and use of trade marks.

Ekaterina specializes in advising on the development projects legal support, she gives support in all the stages of the major real estate transactions, and has a wide experience in the real estate management legal support. Through her career Ekaterina headed legal departments of Russian development companies. In 2005-2007 she was the head of the legal department in the “RTM Development” holding company (trade centers construction, development and management). In 2007-2009 she worked as the Director of the legal department of the “BIG Development” Russian holding company, where she participated in asset structuring and supported commercial real estate sales to a strategic investor, she also gave legal support to the development and realization of the real estate investment projects.

Ekaterina has also a wide experience in the legal support of charity programs. In 2001-2005 she supported activities of the Foundation of non-profit programs “Dynastya”, developing science and education grant programs.
