On the 20th of March hearing of Committee on Natural Resources, ecosystem exploitation and ecology took place in State Duma of Russian Federation. The topic of the meeting was devoted to the prospects for improving Russian Forestry Legislation and Regulations to Attract Investments into the Russian Timber Industry.
Significant work on the stimulation of investment process in timber industry has been recently carried out. The Forestry Code of the Russian Federation was accepted, the import duties to the imported highly-technological equipment and the export duties to entire production of processing wood were repealed, and special graph of stage wise increase of woody tissue export duties.
Nowadays there emerged a necessity of making well-defined decisions to create and performance of the efficient mechanisms of the partnership, directed toward the development of Russian Forestry. The main purpose is to achieve the balance of interests of business, state and the citizens of Russian Federation.
