Moscow, March 16, 2011 – The law firm Levant and Partners announces the appointment of Ekaterina Vetrova to the position of Partner.

Ekaterina will oversee the following areas: implementation and protection of copyright, practice in the field of real estate, including construction, and charitable activities. Ms. Vetrova will also perform functions for the development and promotion of new projects of the law firm Levant and Partners.

Ekaterina is a specialist in the field of copyright and related rights and trademark registration. Ms. Vetrova began her career in 1996 at the first private music publishing house, Bekar Records. In the mid-nineties, when new approaches to the practice of applying copyright and related rights legislation were being developed, Ekaterina became one of the first specialists in this field. At Bekar Records, she took part in the creation of a catalog of the copyright holder – publisher, was involved in the development of agreements for the transfer of copyright and related rights, interacted with the Russian Copyright Society, and supervised issues of registration and use of trademarks.

Ekaterina specializes in advising on legal support for development projects, provides support at all stages of major real estate transactions, and has extensive experience in legal support for commercial management of real estate. At various times, Ekaterina headed the legal services of Russian development companies. From 2005-2007 headed the legal department of the Russian holding “RTM Development” (creation, development and management of large shopping complexes). In recent years (2007 – 2009), she held the post of Director of the Legal Department of the Russian holding company “BIG Development”, where she took part in the creation of an asset ownership structure and supported transactions for the sale of commercial properties�
