Medvedev signed the law “On combating the misuse of insider information and market manipulation and on introducing amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation”
This Law is one of the measures to protect the interests of investors operating in the stock market and improve the trading system. The Law is of particular interest to foreign investors and other financial market participants.
The purpose of the Law is to suppress abuses in connection with the use of insider information in the securities market, credit services, and in transactions involving investment banks and mutual funds, which is especially important for creating an attractive investment climate within Russia.
