Matvey Levant, managing partner of the law firm Levant and Partners, took part in the seminar “The practice of using Austrian companies in tax planning”

The seminar took place on February 18, 2009 at the Golden Ring Hotel (Moscow). During the seminar, with the participation of international law firms and the largest Russian companies, issues of opening limited liability companies in Austria, taxation of holding structures in Austria, and the activities of private foundations were discussed.
“Despite some undesirable features of Austrian legislation, for example, the minimum authorized capital for opening a company is € 35 thousand, from a tax point of view, Austria is an attractive jurisdiction, including the use of Austrian companies as part of a holding structure,” says Matvey Levant, managing partner of Levant and Partners.
